Change in Bell AG's major shareholding: Hilcona AG takes over Gastro Star AG

Hilcona acquires Gastro Star AG and thus strengthens its market position as a full-service provider in the fresh convenience food market segment.
The jobs at Gastro Star will be retained. The established production and distribution sites in Dällikon/ZH and Villigen/AG will also be retained. The parties have agreed not to disclose the terms of the transaction. The merger is subject to the approval of the Swiss Competition Commission (COMCO) with retroactive effect from January 1, 2012.
Bell Ltd has held a 49% stake in Hilcona since January 1, 2011 as part of a cooperation agreement and will acquire a further 2% of the capital in 2015.
